Viewfinder Cleaning Canon AE-1

I'grand not sure if this is the place for information technology merely here goes. I recently got an AE-one and it's in tip top shape, clean drinking glass mirrors shutter etc. Merely there seems to be flecks of dirt inside (or behind) the viewfinder. I know information technology doesn't affect the photos its simply super annoying. Is there a fashion to get backside there?

exist very careful. its probably mirror foam flecks. The erstwhile A series accept very crumbly gooey black foam present. If y'all touch it in the wrong style information technology tends to disitnegrate into a broth and smudge everywhere runining the focusing screen. Ive ruined a body earlier trying to clean my focusing screen thanks to information technology it, information technology is not worth the run a risk.

Like /u/t90fan said, it'southward probably foam pieces from the piece of foam cushion at the top (for the mirror when it slaps upwards). You can remove the focusing screen (many tutorials on the web) and blow it out, but don't utilize whatsoever chemicals on the focusing screen.

Weird, it didn't look similar the focusing screen was muddied simply ill give it a effort. The foam padding is dry but comes off in one piece like the glue came undone.
